What We Recycle (effective May 1, 2023):

In our concern for the Earth, we are collecting single use batteries that are “dead” and not leaking. Do not drop off
batteries that are bulging, have white crust or rust on them. We do not get any money for them, but we will be able to
keep them out of the landfill and they will be recycled.
Here is what we are collecting:

  • Alkaline Batteries (e.g., AA, AAA, C, D)
  • 9-volt and button cell batteries need to be taped and place in separate container from other batteries.
  • Nickel Cadmium Batteries (NiCd)
  • Nickel-Metal Hydride Batteries (NiMH)
  • Lithium-Ion Cells (less than 60 Wh rated capacity)
  • Lithium-Ion Batteries (less than 300 Wh rated capacity)
  • Lithium Metal cells (less than 5g of lithium content)
  • Lithium Metal batteries (less than 25g of lithium content)
  • NO Battery packs for rechargeable tools (will not fit in shipping container)
Plastic shopping bags (grocery bags, etc.)
Plastic packaging such as: shrink wrap; CLEAN plastic bags that food, pet supplies, water softener salt come in.

    Bottle caps: plastic and metal.

lining inside (please keep separate from other recyclables).
Aluminum cans/bottles (please keep separate from other recyclables), foil, foil lids from yogurt cups, trays, etc.

types of beverage waste like tea or coffee filters, loose coffee grounds.
Recycling all metal. Such as scrap steel, aluminum (old windows glass must be removed), doors, items that have these
metals inside). Not sure? Please feel free to ask. Especially if it is bigger than 4 feet in length/or 2 feet wide.
All metal items must be 80% metal or scrap yard will not take the items.
    Window air conditioners.
Non-leaking car batteries, marine batteries, emergency lighting batteries (12 to 6 volt). And other non-leaking lead
    batteries.
Collecting no longer needed wax candles and candle wax to make new candles. Candle tea lights are acceptable with the
aluminum holder. Empty votives and or other candle holders (can have candle wax in them) for use in candle making.
Clean paper for recycling. (Please bag).
