Imbolc symbolizes the beginning of spring and the halfway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.  Even though there may still be snow on the ground, even if it’s freezing cold outside, we are beginning to feel the very earliest hints of spring rising in our spirits.  At harvest time, we give thanks for good things past.  At Imbolc, we give thanks for good things yet to come.
