Black History Saved My Life

Black History Saved My Life will cover how Ernest Crim III, an educator, speaker and author, channeled his prior experiences with racism to effectively counter and courageously combat a heinous hate crime that went viral in 2016. Ernest will cover how experiences in his life, from the age of 6, helped prepare him for that moment.

He’ll discuss how these experiences prepared him to fight as an activist in the Black Lives Matter movement. Participants will walk away with an comprehension of how Black history teachings can equip us all with the necessary tools to fight racism, whether we classify ourselves as Black, a person of color or ally.
