Pastoral Care
People generally come to our Universalist Unitarian Church to find a community that gives them the opportunity to search for their own truth and meaning. A community in which to grow spiritually and share life’s ups and downs. We look for like minded people to walk with us.
Pastoral care is a gift that comes from this community. A commitment from people who have a desire to walk with others through life’s journeys. A community that tends to the spiritual and physical health of its congregants.
Our Congregational/Pastoral Care program shares joys and concerns with greeting cards sent for birthdays, graduations, births, illness, death or any other significant occasion. We provide meals, rides to appointments, and visits to hospitals and nursing homes. We prepare wedding celebrations, memorials services, and baby dedications. We support our older congregants with check-in calls and extra support following the loss of a partner or spouse.
We also provide a small support group setting for people who are experiencing life’s tough issues, the loss of health, care-giver burnout, and coping with family problems.
