PEACE POLE GARDEN REDEDICATION

On April 21, 2002 during an inter-religious service UUCJ dedicated it’s Peace Pole Garden at the main entrance of the church, in the aftermath of the attacks on September 11, 20011 to hear witness “to the cause of understanding and justice and peace.”

A Peace Pole is a hand-crafted monument that displays the message and prayer May Peace Prevail on Earth on each of its four sides, each one a different language. There are more than 200,000 peace poles in over 180 countries around the world. They serve as a constant reminder for us to visualize and pray for world peace.

Now, twenty-three (23) years later, after some upgrades and repairs, we will re-dedicate the Peace Pole Garden on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. “to all people who have suffered the effects of violence”.
